‘Property’ has been the word of this week!

It’s four years this month since the GFC and a flood of village developments are coming on to the market, plus rumour has a significant number of transactions in play as old players come back with new money.
Jones Lang LeSalle research indicates that there were 236 village projects in actual construction in 2011 but our assessment indicates that less than 50 of them are actually active. This leaves about 180 projects that are ‘spade ready’ to recommence. A great opportunity – but only if you can generate the sales out the other end.
Our McCrindle Baynes research of 10,600 residents shows a ‘satisfaction’ rating of 97% for village residents – so the product is proven and good. The sector just needs professional, focussed management to create the traction – and the money says that it is about to happen.
