25 AMP villages – watch this space

On April 15th joint venture partners AMP Capital Investors and Meridien Retirement Living announced they were reviewing the future of their joint venture of 25 villages (four in QLD, nine in NSW and 12 in SA) with 2,865 ILU’s and 467 serviced apartments. They have appointed a very expensive independent corporate advisory firm called Caliburn to “assist in the strategic review”. There has not been any news since. At the RVA National Conference the buzz was that one of the majors would not be in the market within 12 months – could this be it?
