ACSA fights increase in WorkCover in SA – 49% jump for one aged care facility

A new WorkCover system that came in on July1st places more emphasis on old injuries when calculating future payouts for work injuries. One Port Lincoln facility has reported a 49% levy jump to $157,000. A Glynde operator has a $247,000 increase to a $1.5 million WorkCover bill. ACSA SA CEO Alan Graham is negotiating with WorkCover, who say the changes came in after two years of consultation.
