Australia’s largest private aged care operator is a about to be sold again for a projected $1 billion after being purchased only last December by a group of private equity investors as part of bundle of companies under the DCA Group banner.

They paid for $2.7 billion for DCA, with Amity valued at $750-$850 million of that. They are now taking Amity out and selling it on its own at an expected $1 billion – or $150 million profit in less than 12 months.

Amity owns about 40 aged care facilities with 3,500 residents in NSW, Victoria, South Australia, ACT and Queensland.
