Stockland Halcyon land lease community part of new suburb Caboolture West in QLD

1 min read

The first development covering 175ha of bushland in one of South East Queensland’s largest greenfield growth areas has been awarded to the Sydney-based developer.

Stockland’s Caboolture West masterplan will include over 2,000 homes, a separate Stockland Halcyon lifestyle community, along with seven local parks, extensive areas of accessible parkland and the protection and rehabilitation of land for conservation purposes across the site and including the Caboolture River.

The announcement was made by Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery last Thursday. It is just the first development for Waraba (Caboolture West) and will eventually become home to a satellite city the size of Mackay with 70,000 residents. The 40-year project will be well serviced with primary and secondary schools, neighbourhood facilities, centres, parks, sporting fields and transport infrastructure.
