Marketed as “the ultimate in Over 55’s inner-city living”, the former Channel 9 studio in Richmond, 3km east of Melbourne’s CBD, will open to the first three buyers of apartments in the billed first luxury-hotel-style community of its kind in Victoria.

Ardency Kennedy Place, named after the late comedian Graham Kennedy, has 116 one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments, including seven penthouses, across nine storeys.

Designed by Bates Smart, it has a wellness centre with a heated pool, gym, day spa, salon, and yoga studio. There is an exclusive lounge with its own fireplace, billiards table, and a grand piano.

Five penthouses remain for sale, with a 215sqm three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with an entertainment terrace along two sides with views of the city. There also are two designated car spaces, with a sale price of $2.85 million.

Keyton CEO Nathan Cockerill thanked builder partner, Hamilton Marino, and the Keyton Head of Development Jason Fitzgerald and Development Manager Daniel Smith.

“Jason and Daniel’s measured decision making and the passion of the whole project team has truly shone through in this project, delivering not only this exceptional building a precinct and community space of the future,” Nathan said.

Ardency is Keyton’s brand for luxury residences. Kennedy Place, bought by Lendlease in 2017, is the fourth in the Ardency portfolio.
