A special seniors’ precinct will be developed in Macquarie Fields as part of the State Government’s ‘facelift’ of the area. Accommodation to be built in partnership with Moran Australia will include 150 modern units and an aged care facility. The properties will provide wheelchair access and emergency help buttons. Visiting the site on Monday, Housing Minister Matt Brown said 119 houses which were beyond repair in a location with anti-social behaviour had been demolished for the project, with work to begin later this year.
