NSW – Burwood Council wants to buy back its land from Catholic Health Care after approving master plan for 6 storey aged care facility

What to do? The council sold the land, approved the purpose of the use and now wants to keep the land as open space rather than a modern aged care facility. The council is considering asking the new Liberal state government for funds to repurchase the Croydon site. That is unlikely to happen given the reported $5 billion budget balck hole the Lib’s claim they have found. Catholic Health Care says the region just happens to needs the services. The Council does not say what it will do to look after its ageing residents if they do not letthe plan go ahead.
