Health union leaders are “stunned” by the relocation of two convicted killers from prison to a Sydney nursing home, vowing to bring the case before the Aged Care Royal Commission.

SE Sydney Local Health District said two men from Long Bay with advanced dementia had been at Garrawarra for some time without incident.

Garrawarra dementia facility is on the same grounds as Ebony House, a centre dedicated to helping people who have been impacted by the murder of a loved one.

Named in honour of murdered child Ebony Simpson, the house was established as a support centre to offer counselling and information to families and friends of homicide victims in NSW.
