1 min read

More details have been released ahead of the upcoming AN-ACC funding tool, including additional reclassification triggers and information on compounding factors.

As of 23 July, the Classification Principles 2014 have been updated, with “significant changes” to the care needs of a patient now including circumstances where “there has been a change in the care recipient’s cognitive ability, compounding factors, function, mobility or pressure sore risk”.

Additionally, the principles now contain more information on what constitutes a compounding factor across five categories. These include AFM, AKPS, and RUG scores; disruptiveness scores; Rockwood Frailty scores; falls in the last 12 months; and whether daily injections are required.
