Sapphire Coast Community Aged Care to open two new southern NSW RVs in 2023

Community-owned Not For Profit retirement and aged care provider Sapphire Coast Community Aged Care is seeing high demand for two new villages to be opened at Bega and Bombala, in southeastern NSW, next year.

The Glen at Bega will comprise 42 two- and three-bedroom villas and is expected to open in July, while The Kennedy Homes at Bombala, consisting of 15 two-bedroom villas, has just received development approval and is expected to open by the end of 2023.

Matt Sierp, chief executive of SCCAC (pictured), told The Weekly SOURCE that the two villages already have “huge demand” well ahead of their opening.

We’ve actually sold 50% of the Bega one off the plan, and we really hadn’t had any intention to start selling until early next year.

“With the Bombala one, we have taken a list only of interested people because the DA has only just been approved; we’ve probably got more of a demand than what we’re actually likely to build,” he said.

SCCAC already owns a 42-unit village at Bega, The Oaks Country Village, as well as two residential aged care homes; it recently negotiated a labour agreement with the Federal Government to bring in 25 migrant aged care workers per year.
