It is estimated the demand for nurses in Australia will exceed supply by around 85,000 by 2025 – and about 123,000 by 2030. Yet overseas trained nurses are being asked to spend thousands of dollars – and wait up to 18 months – to be able to work as Registered Nurses in aged care.
