2020: 50 % of HIV positive people will be over 55

Almost half of the people who are HIV positive will be over 55 in 2020. (NCHECR) has released a survey, ‘Mapping HIV Outcomes’ which was commissioned by the National Association of People Living with HIV (NAPWA). 26% of HIV positive people are currently over 55 and this will jump to 44% in 2020, said the report.

66 recipients of Aged Care Capital Assistance Program grants announced

The Australia Government has announced 66 recipients of its Aged Care Capital Assistance Program with grants worth $300 million. The largest - a grant of more than $50 million - has gone to Southern Cross Care (QLD) to build a new 94-bed residential care home in Broken Hill, NSW.
