Blue Cares Bluehaven Lodge in Ingham, Queensland, is set to increase its bed numbers to 50 following a major refurbishment and extension worth more than $5.3 million. Director of nursing Kay Christensen this week revealed the improved facility will offer low-care places, new high-care places and respite to help meet the demand of Inghams ageing population. A date for the official opening is yet to be decided, though the new beds are expected to available soon.
