The e-health project has received a further $55m funds injection from the Gillard government on top of the $466.7m allocated to improving the national health records system. Brisbane, the Hunter Valley and Melbourne's eastern suburbs have been chosen as the first sites for testing.
Organisations who wish to be second test sites should view the application forms at www.health.gov.au/tenders.
