90 year old Adelaide village resident confronts ‘home invaders’

Published on

An interesting story to take note of.

Two men were disturbed at 1.30am in the bedroom of a single 90-year-old resident in the Pineview retirement Village at Glenside, 5kl from the centre of Adelaide.

She confronted them and they fled, taking her handbag and some jewellery with them. They had broken a window to gain entry.

The lesson is that even villages are not always off limits to burglars, and break and entry remains a threat in our communities.

Adelaide police say they had 198 home break-ins last week in metro Adelaide alone.
