A timely reminder on payments to executors

Alf Macolino of Lynch Meyer (solicitors in SA) reports a significant increase in queries
about paying distributions to executors or administrators of deceased estates, without
obtaining a Grant of Probate or Letter of Administration. He advises you must insist on
one of these two proofs of authority. If you pay out incorrectly you would be required to
pay it out again to the correct estate.
