The faith-based stand-alone The Willochra Home aged care facility in Crystal Brook, 200km north of Adelaide, has been acquired by South Australian aged care, home care, and retirement living provider Barunga Village Inc.

The acquisition aligns with Not For Profit Barunga Village’s ambition to expand across the Mid North and Yorke Peninsula in South Australia.

In a statement, Barunga Village Inc said, "As the population in the Mid North continues to age, the demand for high-quality, responsive care has grown more pressing.

"This expansion not only grows Barunga Village’s operations but also reinforces the organisation’s dedication to the well-being of the region."

Elizabeth Carroll, CEO of Barunga Village (pictured right), said, “This acquisition reflects our ongoing mission to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in the region.

"It is truly a privilege to have been approached by the Diocese of Willochra, who recognised us as the right organisation to continue their legacy.

“It is a key part of our goal to remain a sustainable, forward-focused, community-based provider that responds innovatively to the needs of the regions we serve.

"With this investment, we are enhancing our capacity to deliver high-quality care while strengthening the local economy and creating meaningful employment opportunities.”

Cam Ansell, Managing Director of advisory firm Ansell Strategic, brought the 42-bed aged care home to market for the Synod of the Anglican Church of Australia in the Diocese of Willochra, while Chris Parkinson, Partner with accountants StewartBrown, worked on due diligence. Louise Greene Director Verde Consulting also worked on due diligence, and coordinated the transition.
