Aged care providers on challenges of care minute targets: 2025 LEADERS SUMMIT videos available

A panel of three aged care CEOs, hosted by Managing Director and Founder of Anchor Excellence, Cynthia Payne, shared the advantages - and pitfalls - of being a mid-size provider at the 2025 LEADERS SUMMIT.

Cameron McPherson, CEO of Medical & Aged Care Group, Diana Horvatovic, CEO of St. Basils Aged Care NSW/ACT, and Tim Humphries, CEO of Homestyle Aged Care, highlighted the challenges they face meeting the care minute targets and the shortfall in associated Government funding, but they stressed the advantages of their size.

Daniel Gannon, Executive Director of the Retirement Living Council, said the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission’s proposal to make residential aged care providers operating independent living units (ILUs) and retirement villages retain 10% of ILU and retirement village refundable amounts as liquid funds from 1 July this year, has been reduced to 2%.
