The annual report on accreditation of residential aged care homes has just revealed that over 12 months 7,595 visits were made, including 3,538 unannounced visits. 1,622 site audits were made plus 104 review audits and 5,869 support contacts. Across Australia there is approximately 2,900 page care facilities - which translates to 2.6 visits per facility .
