AlayaCare marks another Support at Home first
“We’re proud to have played a leading role in this important national milestone,” said Annette Hili, General Manager ANZ at AlayaCare.
Fresh from acquiring Nightingale Software to expand its reach across aged and disability care, AlayaCare has achieved another major milestone – this time under the new Support at Home program.
Working in partnership with Resthaven, AlayaCare became the first technology provider to successfully process an invoice through the Services Australia APIs just hours after they went live at midday on 5 November. The transaction was officially confirmed by Services Australia.
The milestone marks a step-change in how aged care funding is managed and delivered, paving the way for faster, more transparent payment flows across the sector.
“We’re proud to have played a leading role in this important national milestone,” said Annette Hili, General Manager ANZ at AlayaCare.
“The successful submission demonstrates the power of collaboration between industry and government to deliver a more efficient, transparent, and reliable system for care providers and recipients.”
AlayaCare said the integration is a crucial step in supporting the sector’s transition to Support at Home, which officially commenced this month. The company – which now supports around 30% of the national home care market – plans to begin submitting full claims shortly.
Ageing Australia CEO Tom Symondson said last month that early issues – including the inability to bulk-upload claims – have been addressed through close work with Services Australia and the Department of Health and Aged Care, but risks remained with systems going live on 1 November.
