Allambie Heights Village CEO Ciarán Foley (pictured) has officially opened Bellburra, a new retirement village next to the long-standing Allambie Heights Village, 17.5km north-east of Sydney’s CBD.

Approved in April 2022 and delivered by Richard Crookes ConstructionBellburra comprises 24 three-bedroom apartments for over-55s.

Ciarán hailed the milestone as “a triumph… of resilience over adversity,” praising the project’s “vision for future living, outstanding design and wonderful architecturally designed landscaped gardens with views of the Manly Dam Reserve, the city skyline and the Blue Mountains.”

He added that 88% of the apartments were sold prior to completion, reflecting buyer confidence in the operator and its management.

The new community sits alongside the original Allambie Heights Village (opened 1966) and the adjacent Martin Luther Hostel residential aged care facility (1996).
