Anglicare appoints new executive in post-Infinite Care reshuffle

The Not For Profit has appointed a new executive to lead its seniors communities as it shifts one of its senior leaders into a new role.

Anglicare’s Group Executive – Seniors Communities, Laurie Boxwell, has been appointed as Chief Executive of Residential Care, a role established following Anglicare’s acquisition of aged care operator Infinite Care revealed on 2 March.

Anglicare has also announced Adam Achterstraat, who has worked at Scentre Group for 10 years, most recently as General Manager – Development (Densification / Mixed Use), as Laurie’s replacement.

 Seniors Communities appointment

Adam, who will join Anglicare in May, is a respected leader across property, retail and government sectors, with over 20 years’ experience in developments, strategy, advocacy, finance, government relations and customer-centred design, Anglicare Sydney said in a statement.

Adam also previously worked as a senior political and policy advisor across State and Federal Government to various Ministers.

“He brings a depth of executive experience and a values‑driven, customer-led approach that will help us continue to grow our Seniors Communities experience in a way that is genuinely resident‑centred and true to our mission,” Simon Miller, Chief Executive Officer of Anglicare said.

 Residential Care Group leadership

Laurie will oversee both the Infinite Care team, led by Luke Greive, and Anglicare Sydney’s residential care team, led by Dave Izzard, and lead their integration.

“Laurie has been an incredibly effective leader of the Seniors Communities team, and I know he will be a wonderful leader for the combined residential care group, thanks to his strong operational capacity, resident focus, mission-centred approach, and collaborative leadership style,” said Simon.
