Announcement: LEADERS SUMMIT challenges the Retirement World conference in March 2010

1 min read

The RVA has declined its support for the Retirement World conference in Melbourne next March and join with Villages Publishing to announce a new, intensive Leaders Summit in Sydney, also in March. Andrew Giles, CEO of the RVA, has commented that the retirement world conference is now 70% or more expensive than any other conference and extracts up to $700,000 from the sector. The Leaders Summit will channel profits back to the RVA to fund its work and has been supported by sector leaders such as Rod Fehring (LLP), Justin Laboo (Aveo), Ross Smith (RSL Care) and John Ireland (Southern Cross).

The RVA is seeking the support of the industry by participating in the Leaders Summit -- see the attached draft agenda.
