On this week’s Franchising web site, CEO and founder of Just Better Care franchise, Trish Noakes, advises the entry point for most aged care franchises is $60,000 but you will require $150,000 for working capital, to fund an office and a couple of staff in the first year.

The article advises that a nursing background is not required but ‘compliance’ is the ‘biggest learning curve’. Noakes states they “sometimes get funding directly from the government, though 40% of our work is from people who choose to come to us, either as private clients or by directing a funded support package to our organisation. The balance of our work comes through brokerage arrangements with over 200 organisations”.
