Demonstrating the balance sheet and management expertise of an expanding group of not-for-profit operators, Warrigal Care, located at Albion Park 100 km south of Sydney has just won Council approval for a $70 million village and care development at local Shell Cove. Warrigal Care Shell Cove is set to include a 128 bed aged care home providing high care, low care, dementia care, extra services and palliative care. On the same site will be approximately 98 two and three bedroom independent living apartments that will be designed to receive domestic and personal services, if needed, from Warrigal Care. Home care services and a day respite club for the surrounding community will also be available at the location. Mark Sewell (pictured), CEO, reports they already have an ILU waiting list of 200.
They are currently also developing a new village at Goulburn, a country town near Canberra. They have six other villages and seven aged care facilities.
