784 care facilities out of 926 audited recently, failed fire safety standards that have been legislated in QLD following the Childers backpacker disaster. 674 did not have sprinkler systems and 281 did not have smoke alarms. While passing the new legislation, the QLD Government says it will not contribute financially to compliance.
