Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) has called on the Minister for Mental Health and Ageing to urgently announce the 2010 allocation of aged care bed licences and community care packages which was due to be announced at the end of October. Its now almost the end of November and elderly Australians and organisations providing care and services are still waiting, CEO, Greg Mundy said. Aged care providers are increasingly angry at the delays in new places being announced.
Australian Senate votes for two separate inquiries into aged care reform
The Senate has voted to establish two new Senate inquiries into the Government’s historic aged care reforms, rollout out on the weekend after years of preparation, amid concerns they will not deliver for older Australians.
