Adelaide aged care residents strangled by wheelchair seat belt

The SA coroner is discouraging the use of lap sash seatbelts to secure residents in wheelchairs following the death of 83-year-old Ruth Dicker in 2011. Mrs Dicker suffered from epilepsy and dementia and her family plus her GP had agreed to the seatbelt given she was prone to falls. It appears she slid down out of the chair
