Freedom of choice is proving an issue at Tudor Village in Melbourne’s far-east as residents
fight for the right to pick their own pay-TV.
Two hundred units in the community lack appropriate cabling for Foxtel and SelectTV and
those affected have been barred from installing satellite dishes.
“There are many here who are on their own or can’t go out like they used to and television is
a companion to them. It’s a sad situation when the management makes decisions for us,” said
Residents Association Vice-President John Turner.
Geoffrey Reeve, CEO of Tudor Village’s parent Pinnacle Living, would only comment that
residents were aware of the situation and “did not like what they were being told.”
