NSW’s Greater Hume Shire Council claims only 3% of NSW councils now operate high or low care facilities, as it announced it was selling its Holbrook Village and Jindera Village Hostel. Still in debt after many years and requiring significant funding the council wants a private operator to take over. Locals are not pleased as they raised much of the original funds to build the facilities.
