Queensland-based residential, respite and community care provider Feros Care has received its second national award for technological innovation; its Community Gateway using software, phone networks, electronic documents, the internet and technology to allow one central communication point for staff, clients, service providers and families. An Outstanding Achievement award was presented to Feros Care at the Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) National Conference last week, and follows a National Information Technology in Aged Care (ITAC) award last month. Feros General Manager for Community Services Gabriele Taylor said the awards showcased the simple but smart use of technology in the Community Gateway which has enabled significant efficiencies in service delivery for their community care.
