Queensland health authorities are advising that flu, in particular influenza A, has arrived early after to residents died at the Northview aged care facility in Mackay last week following four previous deaths attributed to flu. The residents had not been immunized, believing it was early for the flu season. Health workers are advised to have immunization shots plus people aged over 65. 744 Queenslanders and 2,123 people nationally have been tested positive this year for influenza A.
