The Orchards had approached Lisarow Public School to help them name new wings at the village. "These wings were to provide higher care residential quarters along the lines of a nursing home," said assistant principal Leanne Allomes. "Our students researched all the citrus names they could find and sent them off with the result that three - Cumquat, Tangelo and Bergamot - were chosen and are now written on a plaque above the door of each wing," she said. A donation of $1000 was made to support the schools band. Students are frequent visitors at The Orchards. "Activities have included choirs and dance groups, and also interviews where residents answered questions from students on what life was like when they were young, said Ms Allomes. "Some of the residents are grandparents and great grandparents of our students," she said
