Little known outside of investing circles is the Australian investment fund ING
Real Estate Community Living Group. Created by ING Australia, it allows people
to invest specifically in seniors and student communities as a sector. It now
owns 122 properties across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US, worth
$1.2 billion. The Country Club group and investments in Sunny Cove villages
are Australian examples of INGs holdings. They have 2,834 ILUs here now with
1,981 additional ILUs planned.
If you invested $1,000 in this ING fund in June 2005, it would be worth $2,228
now a growth of 40% in just over 2 years.
