This week Stockland spent another $48 million taking up their rights issue in FKP giving them
19.9% of the company but in a statement to the stock exchange they declared their intention
to reduce that back to 14.9%. For the first time there is beginning to be doubt on whether
they really are interested in taking out the aveo retirement village portfolio from FKP. It is
now nine months since Stockland first move on FKP. Betting money is saying they will not
proceed with a takeover.
