In Korea a recent survey revealed just 27% of people aged 60+ had made adequate funds to retire on. Traditionally Koreans live with their children as they age but now only 48% of people 65+ do that (remarkable by Australian standards). The Government is now holding Silver Job Fairs, where jobs for older Koreans are offered. At a recent fair in Seoul 30,000 people attended to apply for the 4,700 government jobs and 2,000 private jobs offered. Skills required include text messaging.
