Monash University Department of Management released last month a nationwide study of satisfaction with employment. Just 40% of nurses were content with pay and conditions compared to 75% of workers in the broader market. 38% identified high to very high ‘stress and burnout’. 15% said they were about to not only leave their job but also leave the profession. Interestingly, 45% don’t trust their employer.
