The Executive Director of the Property Councils Retirement Living chapter, Mary Wood, has been leveraging her past as Chief of Staff to the Minister for Housing to gain access to senior politicians on both sides I the weeks before the election to champion age-appropriate housing for seniors. She has met with Federal Housing Minister Julie Collins, Shadow Minister for Ageing Concetta Fierravanti-Wells and Shadow Housing Minister Marise Payne. She pressed that 175,000 people live in retirement villages roughly the same as in aged care.
