A 76 year old man died when a small fire broke out in his Redbanks Palm Resort (manufactured) home. The cause of the fire is not yet understood. With no windows or doors open, the fire was starved of oxygen and died out. Foul play has been ruled out. A 75 year old female resident of Mingarra Retirement Village received burns to her back, shoulders, arms and face from walking through the flames when she could not put her ILU fire out, caused it is believed by a cigarette.
