Over the past two years private aged care operator Regis has acquired five separate facilities with over 500 beds. The latest purchase is Playford Village in Adelaide with 125 beds. Regis now operates 47 care facilities across every mainland state. Bupa looked at purchasing Regis in 2011 but couldnt agree on pricing. Darren Lynch, Regis General Manager Development, reports they wish to continue to expand and offer vendors their ability to make an offer not subject to finance approval.
