The Seniors United Party NSW is being formed by a group of residents in The Landings retirement village in the northern suburbs of Sydney. They are seeking one seat in the Upper House so that they can have influence over legislation and regulations concerning retirement villages in particular, as well as concerns about seniors being overlooked by governments and bureaucracies in general. They require 750 members and got off to a good start yesterday thanks to promotion by radio announcer John Laws. The next coverage is going to be on Channel 9’s A Current Affair, likely in the next 10 days. See next story.
