Ernst & Young was this week appointed receiver and manager of the Rosden Private Nursing Home in Burwood East; the families and residents of the facility losing their bid to save it from closure. Colin Pike's mother, Anne Pike, was a resident OF the home for more than eight years. We are very disappointed. We never had any gripes with the place,'' Mr. Pike said. We would have been the first to complain if we saw a problem. We are going to bring mum home because we are fed up with the whole aged care system.'' A spokeswoman for the Department of Health and Ageing did say Ernst & Young had asked for a final decision on the home to be delayed until further assessment could take place. Although a request for reconsideration of the sanctions decision has been made, the immediate need to protect residents has not changed,'' the spokeswoman said.
