Southern Cross Care (SA & NT) attracts international CEO with Michael Bendyk’s retirement

Andrew Larpent, the CEO of one of England’s largest care operators, as well as Chairman of the peak body national Care Forum and Vice Chairman of IAHSA, has accepted the CEO role at SCC in Adelaide. He takes over in November from Michael Bendyk when he retires. Larpent has been CEO of Somerset Care Group since 2001and in that time has trebled its size to 4,500 employees. His first career was the Army infantry for 25 years, which included tours of Iraq. He has been awarded the OBE by the Queen.
