TAS: Southern Cross Care has been selected to build a $32m 60 bed aged care facility, 76 ILU's and a community centre. The new aged care facility and retirement village will be built on a portion of land that was formerly Rosny golf course. Stage one of the project is due to be completed early 2011. A second stage development proposal for the site is expected to be considered in February 2011.

The Not For Profit, which specialises in acquiring rural and regional care home, announced this morning it will take ownership of several sites from the health and community arm of UnitingCare Queensland.
