Campbell Newmans Queensland Liberal-National Party has surprised Queenslanders by returning $80 to each household as a water rebate, to compensate for recent big rises. The challenge is how to repay retirement village residents. The RVA and the ARQRV (the QLD residents association) together worked to ensure a $2.8 million win for residents given definitions of commercial entities that could be excluded. The Government is looking to the ARQRV, led by Les Armstrong (pictured), and its data on number of residents and processes to guide the distribution. The RVA is also involved.
