Vic: Park Orchards Chalet aged care proposal goes to VCAT

Local residents and councillors have aired their objections about the plans to convert the heritage Park Orchards Chalet into 91-bed nursing home at a hearing of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT). As anyone in the aged care industry will understand, heritage buildings aren’t the best fit for a facility. Manningham Council rejected Park Orchards Aged Services Property application in December but they lodged an appeal.
