Village National proves mining villages are big business – using manufactured home park concepts

While manufactured home parks – or ‘resort parks’ as many are titled – are the flavour of the month for an alternative to retirement villages, a brand new company called Village National has just raised $40 million in private investor funds to buy nine hotels and caravan parks plus a manufactured home factory on the Gold Coast – the all up costing $91 million. Purchases include the Nogoa Caravan Park in Emerald and the Coal Country Caravan Park in Moura (QLD), where they are charging $150 per night for miners. The mining HR secret is to be located no further than one hour from the mine.
