The Boronia Heights (Brisbane) village has created controversy with 32 residents petitioning for the change of their street name from Punjab Street to Oak Tree Street. The builder of the original suburb precinct is an Indian from the Punjab region and he describes the request as racist. The residents simply state they feel Oak Tree Street is a prettier name. (Of course they live in Oak Tree Village).
