We have just released the initial findings of the McCrindle Baynes Village Census of 10,606 village residents, 7% of all Australian village residents. The 57 in depth questions produced many surprises, including the fact that the 10kl rule no longer applies. Just 40% of residents had moved 10kl or less. Salespeople who say new residents are not making fast decisions are also wrong. 17% had moved within 3 months of considering a move from the family home and 54% had made the move within 12 months.
